While on your summer vacation you might need to brush your teeth with bottled water. If you travel to a country where the water is not safe to drink, or you are camping near a water source that you’re not sure about, brush your teeth with bottled water instead.
Our dentist, Dr. Thomas Sims, care about your oral health. That’s why our team at Centre for Progressive Dentistry in Scottsdale, Arizona, want to help you keep your mouth healthy no matter where you visit this summer for vacation.
If you do travel during the summer, bring a bottle of water with you to brush your teeth. Depending on where you travel, the water might not be safe for you to drink or use for brushing your teeth. When you brush your teeth, you are trying to remove bacteria from your mouth. If you use a questionable water source you could be adding bacteria to your mouth.
If you accidentally get local water on your brush, we recommend that you purchase a new toothbrush. If you are unable to get a new toothbrush, rinse your brush well with bottled water, to help reduce the chances of getting sick.
Make sure to call us at 480-374-8557 to schedule an appointment with us before your vacation. Our professional team is waiting and ready to help you.
